Thanks Rich. Yes Nietzsche means a lot to me, he really does - I was obsessed with the Birth of Tragedy for years. But Nietzsche himself loved to argue with and reject his heroes didn’t he, and I’ve come to the view that he’s just a very dangerous thinker because he’s rhetorically so powerful, that he really is a prophet of a whole new era - an era which does not tolerate weakness and says the weak should hurry up and die. I can’t get over that side of him. I’m going to a conference next month on ‘the superhuman’ run by someone who has just wrote a book on N, so I’m sure the argument will continue!
