Hi my sources for the Nazis' fascination with the new age are Eric Kurlander's Hitler's Monsters, Nicholas Goodrich-Clarke's The Occult Roots of Nazism and Peter Staudenmaier's work on eco-fascism. Happy to correct anything I got wrong! The historical claims in the article are, I believe, fairly accepted and not controversial - certain Nazi leaders were very into the New Age, particularly Himmler and Hess. This is not to say that Nazism can entirely be explained as an occult movement, it wasn't - it was also an organized and violent political mass movement.
